Patton Farms

Belle Center, Ohio

The Patton’s moved to Belle Center from Mercer County Ohio in 1902 when Nathaniel J. Patton purchased 122 acres. His son J Carl Patton later took over, as did his son J. Richard Patton, then James Don, and today James R (Jim) Patton.

Many changes have taken place over the years. Acres have been added, different species of livestock have come and gone, buildings have gone up and come down, and farming practices have changed.

One thing that has not changed is the Patton’s desire to be good stewards of the things in which God has entrusted them and the determination to leave things better than when we received them.
